- Your Setback Isn’t Your Sentence
Your Setback Isn’t Your Sentence
Here’s the thing about life: sometimes it throws curveballs so hard that you feel like the game is over. You messed up that exam. You lost that opportunity. The relationship ended. You’re back at square one. And in your head, you’re like, “Maybe this is just my fate.”
But pause. Breathe. Hear this loud and clear:
Your setback is not your sentence.
When you’re in the middle of a setback, it’s easy to spiral:
- “I’ll never get it right.”
- “Everyone is ahead of me.”
- “Maybe I should just give up.”
But that voice of defeat? It’s lying.
Not pretending setbacks don’t hurt, but knowing they don’t have the final word.
Not denying the pain, but refusing to let it chain you.
Not hiding your scars, but using them as proof of healing
So next time life knocks you down, don’t call it the end. Call it a comma, not a full stop. The Author of your story doesn’t do unfinished work.
