You’re Allowed to Change Your Mind
Ever feel like once you say something, make a decision, or take a step, you have to stick with it no matter what?
Like:
“I already chose this course, I can’t switch now.”
“I told everyone I loved this job; changing feels like failure.”
“I’ve been on this path so long, turning back looks messy.”
But let’s pause.
You’re allowed to change your mind.
It’s not a weakness. It’s growth.
You are not the same person you were a year ago. Or even three months ago.
Your perspective has shifted. Your values have matured. Your priorities look different.
And guess what? That’s a good thing.
A big part of emotional wellness is giving yourself permission to:
- Unlearn things that no longer serve you
- Detach from identities that were built on survival, not authenticity
Say “I thought this was for me… but now I know better.” There’s no shame in outgrowing a choice.
You Can Change Your Mind About:
- A dream that no longer excites you
- A relationship that no longer nurtures you
- A belief system that no longer aligns with your truth
Changing your mind doesn’t make you unreliable. It makes you aware. It makes you human.
Let go of the fear of “what will people say?”
And hold onto this: you’re allowed to change your mind, especially if it means choosing peace, purpose, and your values.
