You choose

Believe me, you are stronger than you know. You have the ability to make decisions, choose your paths, and so no one can control you unless you let them.

Recently I participated in an illustration competition with the theme ‘Fantasy Creatures’. One of the earliest thoughts that occurred to me was a drawing of a human body with all its beautiful abilities; our eyes can see so many shades, our skin can distinguish so finely between surfaces, our body’s ability to break down food etc. Aren’t we wonderful creatures already? Why would I need to draw a dragon or a mermaid that I haven’t seen?

You are gifted with the ability to choose for yourself and all our senses allow us to examine and weigh each choice before we make a decision. So no matter how tough a situation, no matter how inescapable it looks, no matter how controlling or domineering a person may seem, always remember that no one can control you. You can always decide for yourself.

Don’t be afraid to make choices, take a deep breath and go forward bravely.
