What is True Healing?
I used to think that the more I sat with my feelings, the closer I’d get to healing. That if I replayed past conversations enough times and traced every hurt back to its origin, I’d finally crack the code. I believed that reflection was the bridge between pain and peace.
But here’s what they don’t tell you, reflection can also be a prison. I've experienced it first hand.
There’s a fine line between processing your emotions and marinating in them until they consume you. I crossed that line without realizing it. Instead of moving forward, I stayed stuck in my head, convincing myself that I was "working on it." But in reality, I was just reliving the same pain in different words. Healing isn’t just about understanding why you feel the way you do. It’s about doing something with that understanding. The real work isn’t in thinking. It’s in stepping outside the loop, making a choice, and daring to move forward even when the answers aren’t clear.
