What is life?
These days, I’ve been a little sentimental. What do we gain at the end of it all? What do we work so hard for? What do sleepless nights result in? When will all the hard work stop? Is there an end to it all? Too many questions, too many thoughts, too many emotions. My answers cannot be found within the confines of my own mind.
But here’s what I do know. Your life is yours. You do not owe anybody anything. Vanity will pass. All the things you work so hard for will come to an end. What will you leave behind? Apart from your money or properties, which will be inherited by people who didn’t work for them, what will you leave behind? Work with purpose. Live with purpose. Leave knowing you fulfilled your purpose. Be remembered for something more than money.
So what is life? Maybe it is not about how much you have, but how much of yourself you pour into the world. Maybe it is not about how hard you work, but about who you become in the process. Wherever you are in your life, you are doing just fine. You are living just fine.
All my love,
Olamide from MANI
