I read somewhere that one of the hardest relationships you could ever have is the one you have with yourself.

At first, it didn’t really make sense to me. I mean, “It’s me. Why wouldn’t I love to be with me?”.

But now it does.

When you love and care about someone, it’s easy to try to overlook the flaws, and pretend they are not there. You could always look the other way.

It’s easy to start to see them in the light of what they could be, even if it is not what they are.

But with yourself, there is no hiding anywhere. No matter how delulu you try to be, you will always see the wild, the laziness, the selfish parts, the heavy and tiny flaws.

And being able to love yourself despite the glaring nature of these quirks, that, my friend, is the longest and hardest journey.

For you who have been putting in the work to love yourself, I hope that you accept every inch of you, work on the parts you want to work on and let yourself shine.

For you who are on the verge of giving up, let this letter remind you that you are worth a second chance.
