This Week, Take Care of You Too

The to-do list never seems to end. There are emails to send, meetings to show up for, people to check on, deadlines to meet, and goals that keep stretching farther with every step. Life moves fast, and in trying to keep up, we often forget the one person who needs our care the most: ourselves!

This week, as I scribbled down the usual tasks, one line stood out to me like a quiet reminder: make sure to include yourself in the list of things you need to take care of this week. I paused. When was the last time I checked in with myself? Not to measure productivity or progress, but just to listen, to the weariness in my bones, to the silence in my mind that isn’t peace but burnout.

So I’m trying to be intentional. To rest without guilt. To breathe deeper. To go for a walk, not because it burns calories, but because the breeze on my face makes me feel alive. I’m learning that I can’t keep showing up for everything and everyone if I keep leaving myself behind.

This week, I hope you remember too; you are not just a task to complete. You are someone worth caring for.
