The Nature and Danger of Anger

My dad would always say something: “Sadness and grief are slow and grinding, but anger—anger is quick and destructive”. As human beings we can not avoid feeling angry, it’s a natural emotion for a reason, However, it is essential that we control our anger rather than allowing it to control us.

To manage anger you must understand why you are angry. Know what causes the anger, then take a moment to calm yourself before we address the issue. Whether the cause is a person, an event, or a situation we find ourselves in, we should try approaching it with a clear mind. Carrying raw anger to face a person might end very badly and lead to an outcome we may regret.

Anger is very quick, but also can dissolve very quickly. So try exercising self-control, ensuring it does not dictate your actions. Mastering your anger not only helps in resolving issues effectively but also protects your peace of mind.
