The Heart Can Hold Two Things At Once
Sometimes healing feels confusing because nobody really tells you that two completely opposite emotions can live inside you at the same time. One part of you is trying to move on, while another part is still standing in the memories, replaying everything slowly.
You can still miss them and still know you cannot go back.
You can know your worth and still quietly wish they saw it too.
You can be strong for everyone around you and still go to bed wishing someone had asked if you were okay.
That is the strange thing about being human. We do not heal in straight lines. Some days you laugh freely, and other days something small reminds you of what you lost, and suddenly your chest feels heavy again.
You can still love someone and realise they are no longer good for you.
You can accept the truth and still grieve the way things could have been.
You can choose peace and still feel angry about what you had to survive.
And maybe the hardest part is this: letting go does not always mean forgetting. Sometimes it simply means learning how to remember without falling apart.
So if your heart feels mixed up, if you are healing but still hurting sometimes, that does not make you weak. It makes you human. Some feelings do not replace each other. They coexist quietly, teaching us that growth is often painful, honest, and deeply complicated.
