The Broken Charger & Burnout
You ever had that one charger? The one you have to bend, twist, press with your elbow, balance with 5 textbooks and one remote, just to get 2% battery in 30 minutes? 😂 Yeah, that one.
Sometimes sha that's us-
We keep pushing ourselves even when we’re clearly not okay. We bend, twist, and force ourselves into survival mode because “life must go on.” And yeah, maybe it works… for a while. But just like that charger, one day you’ll spark, and it won’t be funny.
That’s burnout.
And burnout doesn’t always announce itself with fireworks. Sometimes it sneaks in as:
- Constant tiredness, even after sleeping
- Snapping at people over small things
- Losing motivation for stuff you used to enjoy
- That “I’m on autopilot” feeling
The scary part? Most of us ignore these signs until we crash.
The gist is simple! You’re not a broken charger. You’re human. You deserve rest before you break. Rest isn’t laziness; it’s maintenance. Even your phone shuts down when it overheats; why should you expect yourself to run nonstop?
So, pause. Recharge. Sleep. Laugh. Breathe.
Don’t wait until sparks fly.
Because at the end of the day, a rested you is way more productive (and less dramatic) than a burnt-out, sparking you.
