The Beauty of What Never Was
Sometimes, the hardest thing to accept is what didn't happen. The job you thought was yours, the relationship you believed would last, and the dream that once felt so clear; they all slipped away. And that hurts. But there’s a quiet kind of strength in choosing to release what never came to be.
We spend so much time replaying moments, imagining different outcomes, and carrying the weight of “what should’ve been.” But life unfolds on its own terms, not according to our plans. The things that didn’t work out? Maybe they weren’t yours to begin with. Maybe their only purpose was to guide you to a better version of yourself.
You don’t have to chase what isn’t chasing you. You don’t need to mourn a path that was never yours to walk. Breathe. Loosen your grip. If it flows elsewhere, let it. Not everything is meant to stay, but everything can teach you something.
Making peace doesn’t mean giving up. It means letting go with grace. Because in that space, growth happens. And sometimes, what didn’t happen is the very thing that leads you to what will.
