- That friend.
That friend.
Earlier this year, during a celebrity's wedding, one of the bride's friends went viral for her selflessness. This friend, also a celebrity, earned praise not for her fame, but for being the kind of friend everyone needs in their corner. She is the friend we all admire, reliable, trustworthy, and always there when it counts. She is that friend.
But what about you? Are you that friend? In a world where we often wish for people like this, it’s important to ask ourselves: What kind of friend are we? Are you someone your friends can count on, no matter what?
It's easy to wish for a friend who always shows up, and who always has your back. But to get that kind of support, we first need to be that kind of friend. Are you there for your people, even when it’s not convenient? Do they see you as reliable, or as someone who only shows up when it's easy? If you want the kind of friend who is selfless and dependable, start by being that friend to others. Show up for them, even when it’s hard. Sometimes, that means making decisions that are best for others, even if it costs you. Be the friend you wish to have, and in doing so, you’ll find those friendships come back to you in the most meaningful ways.
With love,
