Small Joys Still Count

Lately, everything feels so big.

Big problems.
Big emotions.
Big conversations about things that honestly feel too heavy to carry all at once.

And in the middle of all that, small things start to feel… insignificant.

Like, what is the point of enjoying a good meal, or laughing at something random, or getting excited over something tiny when there is so much going on?

It almost feels childish. Or out of place.

But I do not think small joys were ever meant to compete with big problems.

I think they are what keep us steady in the middle of them.

Because not everything that matters has to be loud or life-changing. Some things matter simply because they make the day feel softer. More bearable. More human.

Like the first sip of something cold when the heat is too much.
Or a random conversation that makes you laugh longer than you expected.
Or music playing in the background while you are doing nothing important at all.

Those moments do not fix everything. They do not solve the bigger issues.

But they remind you that your life is not only made up of what is going wrong.

There is still softness here.
Still lightness.
Still something worth holding on to.

And that is enough for now.

So let yourself enjoy small things without overthinking them.
Let yourself smile without immediately remembering everything else.
Let yourself have moments that are not heavy.

Not because the world is perfect.
But because you are allowed to experience more than just its weight.

Small joys still count.

Sometimes, they are the reason we keep going at all.

All my love,
