How aware are you of yourself?

Self-awareness is recognising the thoughts and emotions you are experiencing at a given moment and understanding why you are having them in said moment.

It is not just your overall understanding of who you are as a person, but the ability to look within and see why you show up and how you do in a specific moment. It is being able to catch yourself about to respond in a manner that does not represent you well and choosing to do differently. It is about admitting when you behave in ways that don’t align with your core values and making the decision to do better moving forward.

The more you practice self-awareness, the more you refine and sharpen your sense of self. So, I’ll ask you again, “How aware are you of yourself?”
