Ready, Set, Go!
Life may feel like a Merry-go-round, one moment you’re up, vibing, feeling unstoppable. The next? Everything feels off, and suddenly, you're looking for something, anything to make it all feel okay again.
Maybe it’s scrolling endlessly on your phone, binging a show, texting people just to fill the silence, or even diving headfirst into work to avoid the thoughts creeping in. And while those things might bring temporary relief, the truth is, real comfort isn’t out there.
Have you ever thought, “If I just get that job, relationship, money, or opportunity, I’ll finally feel okay”? And then you get it… and somehow, that feeling still lingers? That’s because comfort that depends on outside things never really lasts.
When your peace is tied to things beyond your control; people, circumstances, achievements, it means they have the power to shake you at any moment. But when comfort comes from within, it means no matter what happens, you can return to a place of calm, knowing you have you and your faith.
Instead of fully depending on someone or something to reassure you, start creating that space for yourself. Your thoughts, your words, and your habits should be the things that bring you peace, not pressure.
Trying to control everything is exhausting. Focus on what’s in your hands, and learn to release the rest. Peace comes when you stop holding onto things that aren’t yours to carry.
At the end of the day, everything external is temporary. The only constant presence in your life is you and your beliefs. That’s why finding comfort within yourself is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself.
