Reach Out Today
To be Nigerian is to carry a particular kind of weight that shows up in unexpected places. It appears in visa applications stamped with rejection, in international opportunities that vanish not because you lack talent but because of the passport you hold. It lingers in illnesses that might have healed already if proper healthcare were not such a distant dream.
Some days, this weight makes you want to retreat into silence, to suffer quietly because you believe no one cares or that speaking marks you as weak.
But I need you to understand something important. Your silence helps no one, especially not yourself. There are people who are watching and listening and ready to help if only you would speak.
MANI is interested in your mental health, in your particular and irreplaceable story. So if something is making it unbearably hard, whether it's health, opportunity, or the simple exhaustion of navigating this country as a young person, speak! Reach out. Let someone know. Your voice matters. Your struggle is not a burden to hide.
All my love,
