Nobody Has It All Figured Out

How often do we feel like we’re the only ones who don’t have life figured out? Probably more often than we realize. The truth is, everyone you think has their life completely together probably doesn’t. They may have some parts figured out, but the rest? They’re just doing their best like the rest of us.

I always thought by now I’d have my dream job, be financially stable, and maybe even be married with one kid. But life moves fast, and I found myself feeling disappointed. Over time, I realized I wasn’t alone. I opened up to a few friends and even strangers and discovered that each of us had dreams different from mine, of course, but we were all facing similar struggles.

Society puts a lot of pressure on us: get a good job after NYSC, get married, and hit milestones at certain ages. And when we see our peers seemingly living their dreams, it’s easy to feel like we’re lagging.

But here’s the truth: stop comparing. I’ve learned to appreciate the journey instead of fixating on the destination. It’s okay if you’re not where you thought you’d be. Embrace your imperfections, celebrate your growth, and stay true to yourself.

And remember, life is a lot easier when we take it one day at a time. What if you knew exactly what tomorrow held? Would it change anything? Maybe it’s the uncertainty and growth that makes life worth living.
