Many ways to go
Can you imagine there are eight billion people on our planet and not even two of them are the same? They all have different experiences, too. Eight billion different people with eight billion different lives!
So now I wonder, why is it a problem to do something differently? I get that sometimes things are done a certain way because it’s the best way to do it, but why should we lose confidence in our path just because it’s different from others?
I remember being scared to make decisions that were drastically different from the norm; what would people say? Will it work if most people don’t do it? Will I fail? Well, I’ll never know if I don’t try it out, will I?
Each of us with our own different complex lives can’t possibly be expected to follow the same route, can we?
I’m learning to build confidence in finding out what works for me, and what a ride it has been! You absolutely need to try it out! Instead of worrying about what people are going to say or see, I determine the best way is to handle the challenge in front of me.
It’s ok to get help and input from others, but remember you are your own person, friend. So there can’t be anything wrong with finding your own path, and if that path happens to be wildly different from others or get you a few weird looks, just ask yourself if it works for you. It does? Then you can get all the weird looks in the world!
Eight billion different people, eight billion different paths.
