Let Yourself Feel Without Judging It
Do you ever feel emotions and then feel bad for feeling them? Like feeling grateful that you made the cut for a competition, then feeling bad that you feel happy even though your friend didn't make it? Or feeling angry when someone who does a whole lot for you annoys you, then feeling bad for feeling angry at them?
I think we sometimes forget that it's normal to feel more than one emotion at a time. And that it's normal to be pissed at the people we love. It's okay to be happy that you passed and also sad that your friend didn't. You are not an ungrateful person for feeling angry when someone who helps you annoys you. You are simply a human being with a wide range of emotions about people and situations.
You will not always be happy with the people you care about, and the people you care about will not always be happy with you. That is just the reality of things; it doesn't mean you love them less. Let yourself feel without judging it.
