Leave the world behind sometimes
Over the years, sometimes the house felt like I was in a room full of balloons. Balloons so large I could barely get from the door to the stairs. And every time someone called my name or asked for something, another balloon would come into existence, right by my head; pop!
Things are tough. So tough that we can often feel like we need to escape from our own houses.
I find that it often helps to find a quiet street to take a nice long walk on; leave the house behind and take some control of my life back from pesky balloons. But, then again, quiet streets do not always make themselves available. When that happens, my bed begins to sing a sweet tune to me.
My advice is: you can’t get anything done if your house is full of balloons. After a short walk, a little nap, the house is often a lot more spacious, giving us more room to unfold and offering us some relief.
Those short moments of leaving the routine of the world behind are so important. You are not weak or less than for needing them: they exist for a reason. So take a walk, beautiful people!
Get a good nap, my friends! And when you come back or wake up, you tell me if there are any balloons left.
If there are, you make sure to pop them!
