Imaginary battles

Many times we’re fighting imaginary battles and we don’t even know it. Someone hurts us and they don’t realize it but it doesn’t change the fact that we’re hurt by their actions. So in these situations, we’re automatically always on edge and looking for what we presume to be the next shot fired, so we can attack back.

However, the people we’re fighting are actually not aware of the battle and therefore, are at a disadvantage to actually prepare or at the very least give us a fair win. Many times, the people that hurt us don’t actually know that they hurt us, or they don’t see the reason for our hurt from our point of view.

Please tell people when and how they hurt you or upset you. Nobody can read minds, so they don’t know that you are hurt so please speak up when you get hurt. Life is already too much; we shouldn’t have to add fighting imaginary battles with our loved ones to our daily to-do lists.
