If April Was A Fair Lady

If April were a fair lady, she would not apologize for her warmth or her sudden cold. She would wear contradictions like fine jewelry, sunshine in the morning, a storm by noon, a gentle breeze at dusk. You would never know what to expect, but you would always expect good things to happen.

If April were a fair lady, she would not rush. She would remind you that things bloom in their time, that some flowers open quickly while others take their time unfolding. And isn’t that the way healing works, too? Some wounds close fast, leaving only faint scars. Others linger, tender and raw, demanding patience. April would sit with you in the waiting, in the in-between.

If April were a fair lady, she would teach you softness. That even after the harshness of March, the cold and the grief, the sun can still rise, and so can you. She would tell you, in her quiet, knowing way, You are not late. You are not broken. You are growing. And just like that, you would breathe again.

Happy New Month
