I’m feeling many feelings

Hey you,

Does December ever make you feel a weird mix of things? Like you’re relieved the year is ending... but also scared... a little excited... all at the same time? If you’re feeling that, you’re not the only one.

There’s something about this time of year that makes everything louder: the fears, the pressure, the “did I do enough?” questions. But it also has a way of showing you the small good things you didn’t notice before. For me, this month feels strange in a good way. I’m ending the year in a place I didn’t even plan for; I got an internship in project management. It still feels unreal sometimes, especially with how chaotic the year has been. But in the middle of all the confusion and uncertainty, that tiny win reminds me that things can still fall into place.

Maybe you’ve had your own small good thing this year, too. It doesn’t have to be big. It doesn’t have to look like other people’s wins. It could be a friendship that stayed, a habit you picked up, or a problem you finally faced.

The good thing can simply be the fact that you’re still here, trying, breathing, hoping, holding on. As this year wraps up, here’s something I want you to remember: In the middle of everything that felt uncertain or heavy, there were still things that went right. And those things matter.

So if the fear shows up, acknowledge it. If the excitement shows up, welcome it. If the anticipation makes your chest feel tight, breathe through it. And while you’re taking stock of the year, don’t forget to look at the good tidings too. You deserve to enter the new year with hope, not pressure.

With you,
