How Do You Feel?
How do you feel? It’s a simple question but so complex. Yet, we often respond with a rehearsed “fine” or “okay,” hiding the truth under layers of silence.
But pause for a moment. How do you feel?
Do you feel like the world is too loud, yet somehow too quiet? Do you carry a storm inside, longing for peace yet unable to name the chaos? Or perhaps you feel nothing at all, a numbness so heavy it sinks into your bones, making each step feel impossible.
Undress yourself within, dear. It’s okay not to have an answer. Feelings are messy, contradictory, and sometimes impossible to explain. The pain you carry is real, even if unseen. The ache in your chest, the tightness in your throat, the exhaustion that no sleep can cure- they’re all valid.
You are valid. But you don’t have to face this alone. Your feelings are not too much, nor are they a burden. Let them speak, let them breathe. And if you feel lost, reach out. A friend, a counselor, a stranger on the other end of a helpline, they are there to remind you that your feelings matter, and so do you.
