GRUDGES

I’m sure we have heard the saying that holding a grudge is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die from it.

Yes, we all know that holding a grudge is unhealthy but sometimes, just moving on from a hurtful situation is much easier said than done.

Nonetheless, we have to keep trying, because if left unattended, it could grow and become this huge cloud of negative energy always hanging over your head.

You can look at it like pruning. Pruning actually helps to revitalize, it gives room for more growth, stimulates production and keeps the plant, or person in this case, strong.

If you keep dragging around dead weight, it not only blocks your growth, but steals away good energy from other parts of your life, and sometimes even those around you.

At the end of the day, holding a grudge hurts you the most. So instead, express the hurt however you need to; talk to someone, go hard at the gym, write in your journal, and if it helps, establish new boundaries. Remember that to heal from something, it has to be expressed, no matter how much pain it causes.

I’m always rooting for you.
