Grief is Grief
Grief isn't a feeling attached to just death; it's a feeling for any loss.
If you've lost a friendship or relationship so dear to you, and you're left feeling horrible and so terribly shaken, you're allowed to feel that way.
There's no such thing as the ‘right’ kind of grief. No hierarchy of pain.
Don't let anyone ever make you feel like you're overreacting when they say things like "Haba, they are not dead!" in response to your emotions of loss. That they are alive does not erase your sorrow.
Just because your loss isn't physical does not mean it doesn't ache like death.
Grief is grief. Whether it's a person gone from the earth forever or a connection that has come to a standstill.
