Friendships
As we grow older, we start to realise that friendships take work; real, intentional work. You have to choose to water your friendships, check in, show up and most importantly, extend grace to the ones you call your friends. Because at the end of the day, they are growing, healing, and sometimes just trying to survive a season.
It's no longer as easy as seeing your friends at school or after church. Life is pulling everyone in different directions. Schedules clash, priorities change, and energies shift, but it is left to you to make that conscious decision to keep trying.
Communication goes a long way; a short message, a Snapchat streak, a quick call, an honest conversation. Good friendships do not happen by chance; they are nurtured.
Take this as your reminder to check on your friends today.
All my love,
