Doings!!!

If you’ve ever said, “I’m not ready yet…” or I’ll start when I have more experience..” raise your hands!

Come, let’s gather for a group selfie because you’re not alone.

We’ve been there- standing at the edge of something new, whether it’s a job, a skill or even a personal challenge, and feeling like we’re not quite ready to dive in. We convince ourselves that we need more preparation, more time, and more knowledge. But waiting for the perfect moment can often lead to never starting. The truth is, there is no magical moment of readiness.

Let me paint a scenario: you’ve never ridden a bike before, but you’ve read all the books, watched countless videos, and even spoken to expert cyclists. Yet, the moment you actually get on the bike, it feels like everything you learned disappears. You wobble, maybe even fall, and it’s only through practice, through doing, that you learn to balance, pedal, and eventually ride with ease.

One of the main reasons people hesitate to start is the fear of failure. What if things go wrong? What if I make mistakes? But here’s the thing: failure is part of the process. Mistakes aren’t setbacks; they’re stepping stones. Each misstep teaches you something valuable, something you wouldn’t have learned otherwise. So, embrace it!

In the end, it’s important to remember that you build the capacity to do by doing. It doesn’t matter if you don’t feel completely ready or if you’re unsure of where to begin. What matters is that you take that first step.

In the words of the great American philosopher, Ralph Waldo Emerson, “Do the thing, and you will have the power.”
