Delay is Not Denial

It's easy to feel frustration or dejection when something you've been working so hard on falls through. Sometimes, it's honestly heartbreaking. All your sweat and tears and sleepless nights and missing out on fun, all for nothing!

And you might find yourself up at night, running a treadmill of torturous thoughts, wondering what the whole point was. You might beat yourself up for not being more careful, more wary, or more hesitant to jump in headfirst into that project. Plus, your friends and family might be adding salt to the injury, asking you questions you've already asked yourself a million times.

My dear, don't lose hope. Please, don't lose yourself to scathing, self-critical thoughts. It might seem horrible right now, but trust me: things will get better. I'm not going to tell you that everything happens for a reason, because I'm not omniscient and frankly, I hate when I'm told that as a word of comfort.

However, I have felt this way, and I know that this too shall pass.

Stay strong💕.
