When Dark Clouds Gather

A few months into sobriety I asked my mentor, "Despite being sober why do these dark clouds linger?". Some days are so dark and with no explanation whatsoever attributed to it. He made this statement, "Your experience in trying to be sober would teach you that, 'that' which seemed impossible is actually possible".

That's my first point ——✨This too shall pass🫂

Early on, I had learned to take every struggle as a wave. Emotions are like waves. They come and go. Somedays, the intensity at which they come differs. When everything seems dark, I want you to remember, that it won't always be this way, take one day at a time. Also, In the highs when you are having the time of your life. It might not always be that way, nonetheless, Enjoy the Moment.

There would be rough waters and deep seas, but life threats and trials should not defeat you but show your glory. Don't let self-pity be the log that jams up your entire life. Often people try to heal themselves instead of looking or asking for help.

Spend more time with people who see you not just as you are but as you could be; people who encourage your dreams, and ignite your passion. You see nothing makes sense when your mind is not right and that's fine. But you see, at that moment, when you're prone to be depressed, look up. Just pause and remember whom you belong to.

✨I don't think you "can", I know you "would"✨

⚡I am certain you would pull through🫂

⚡I am certain it's going to be fine🫂

 💚I am cheering you on❤
