Building Healthy Relationship
Dear Friend,
I hope you’re doing well.
I’ve been reflecting on the importance of building healthy relationships and how much they affect our mental health, and I wanted to share some thoughts with you.
Healthy relationships should bring happiness, support, and a sense of peace. They are built on mutual respect, trust, and understanding. However, when a relationship starts to impact your well-being negatively, whether through constant stress, emotional harm, or lack of support, it’s essential to consider stepping away.
Walking away from an unhealthy relationship is difficult, but it’s sometimes necessary to protect your mental health. Choosing your own peace isn’t selfish, it means you’re choosing to value your own peace and happiness which is an act of self-care. As the saying goes, "You can’t pour from an empty cup." You deserve relationships that bring out the best in you, not those that drain your energy or compromise your mental well-being. It's important to value yourself enough to let go of what harms you and seek connections that nurture your growth and happiness. Take care, and always put your well-being first.
