As the Year Ends
As the year ends, you may feel tempted to dwell on all the things you hoped would happen but didn’t.
You might find yourself comparing your journey to others who once seemed on the same level as you, but now appear to have surpassed you, checking off goals you also carried but couldn’t mark as done.
As cliché as it may sound, you are not where you were last year, and that is the simple truth. Some of the things you were fervently praying for last year have already become your reality.
Progress is not always loud or epic. There is progress in the quiet moments too; moments that are easy to overlook because they lack pomp and pageantry.
So as the year comes to a close, choose instead to focus on the things you did do, no matter how small: the answered prayers you now live in, the boundaries you learned to set and uphold, the lives you touched in your own little way, and the lessons you learned and grew from.
You made it to the end of the year, and that in itself is a huge achievement.
All my love,
Jhoye from MANI
