Adulting in this crazy era
Hey, Adulting? For real, it’s a whole scam, and no one warned me!
I didn’t sign up for this at all. All I wanted was to eat two pieces of meat without anyone telling me “That’s too much” and stay up as long as I wanted without having to stress about data charges, rent, transport, and all those grown-up problems.
And now, here I am, trying to figure out how I’ll make it to the end of the month without losing my mind. Honestly, some days I just want to go back to my mom’s womb where everything was easier. But somehow, we keep going, right?
Today, I thought I’d share a few things that have been keeping me sane on the day-to-day:
Support System – Seriously, I couldn’t do this without my people. Whether it’s family, friends, or even just having someone to vent to, I’ve learned how important it is to have people around who understand and help you navigate this crazy thing called life.
Intentional Focus on Spiritual Growth – Regardless of individual beliefs, many find that connecting to something greater than themselves provides significant strength. Faith can offer hope, foster a sense of grounding, and serve as a reminder that we are not alone, even amid uncertain times.
Taking Breaks – I’ve come to realize that rest isn’t a luxury; it’s a necessity. Whether it’s taking a walk, catching up on sleep, or just zoning out with a good show, giving myself permission to take a breather has been crucial for maintaining my sanity.
Adulting is hard, no doubt, but these small things help me keep my head above water.
Now, I want to know: what’s been making life easier for you lately? Let me know, we could use all the tips we can get!
Take care,
Somgolie from MANI
